T-72 tanks engaging

The armament system is fully stabilised and calculates elevation based on laser ranging but contains no lead computing. Moving sideways from the target or going down hill and firing even with a stabilised system will make the shell move at an equal speed sideways or vertically, making a hit beyond 1km range unlikely. Soviet non-export vehicles compensate for both vertical and horizontal movement with analog ballistic computers. More minor factors such as crosswinds and humidity are not calculated. Air temperature is set manually by a small dial.
